Generally, no, the IUA cannot be changed during a Membership year if the Member has an open Need. On an exception basis, if the member doesn’t have an open Need, then the IUA may be raised, but cannot be lowered. Once raised, however, the IUA cannot be lowered back for the remainder of the Membership year.
It is also important to note that a maternity Need will always have an IUA of $5000, regardless of whether or not your standard IUA is a different amount.
