An IUA is the financial portion ($500, $1500, or $5,000) of their medical bills for a single need that a member is responsible for paying prior to any additional amount becomes eligible for sharing. After the IUA has been satisfied, a qualified need becomes eligible for sharing consideration.

The Membership IUA level applies to all participants in that membership (e.g. spouse, child).

There are multiple FAQs posted about IUAs, so be sure to search other topics if you have further questions.  Plus you are always welcome to reach out to Member Services to let us help you personally.
